Andrea Bocelli concertThe world wide known Italian tenor and singer, Andrea Bocelli will be on a world tour from the beginning of 2015 and on this occasion Bocelli will also perform in Prague in the summer of 2015.

During his career Andrea Bocelli released 14 studio albums, recorded 9 complete operas, three greatest hits albums and he sold over 75 million records all over the world. Bocelli was also nominated for multiple awards and won several awards including a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song. Bocelli mixes classical and pop genres good in his music.

From the 4th April in 2015 Andrea Bocelli will be on a tour until the end of 2015. During the tour he will give some concerts in Europe as will including Budapest, Marbella and Prague. Most of his concerts in Europe will take place in Lajatico in Italy. Bocelli will be on stage in Prague on Saturday on the 28th June in 2015 at the O2 Arena. Simply Red Prague 2015

Simply Red PragueSimply Red will give a huge concert in Prague in the fall of 2015. Simply Red is an English soul and pop band which was formed in 1985. During the years the band received some nominations and awards including two Brit Awards for Best British Group in 1992 and 1993.

Last year the band announced that they would reform again for the 30th anniversary of Simple Red in 2015 and they will start their world tour in the fall of 2015. The band’s current line up after the reunion consists Mick Hucknall, Ian Kirkham, Steve Lewinson, Kenji Suzuki, Kevin Robinson, Dave Clayton and Roman Roth. Simply Red will be on a world tour with the Big Love Tour 2015 and so far 42 shows were announced in Europe. The English band mostly will give concerts in the UK and Germany. In Prague the Simple Red concert will be held on the 26th October in 2015 and it will take place at the Forum Karlin. The first concert of the tour will be in Odense in Denmark on the 20th October in 2015. Tickets for the concerts are already available.

European Athletics Indoor Championships Praha 2015

AthleticsThe European Athletics Indoor Championships will be held again in 2015 in the capital city of the Czech Republic in Prague. The European Athletics Championships is a biennial indoor competition for European athletes which is organised by the European Athletic Association.

The athletic competition used to be held annually until 1990 then it was changed to its current biennial format. The first European Athletics Indoor Championships was held in 1970 in Austria in Vienna at the Stadthalle which replaced the European Indoor Games. The European Athletics Indoor Championships is held each year in one of the European cities and this year the indoor athletics game will be held in Prague. The previous competition in 2013 was held in Göteborg at the Scandinavium in Sweden the next European Athletics Indoor Championship which will be held in 2017 will take place in Belgrade in Serbia at the Belgrade Arena and this year the European Athletics Indoor Championships will be held in Prague at the O2 Arena from 5th March 2015 to 8th March 2015. Exhibition on Rembrandt

RembrandtThere is an exhibition on Rembrandt shown at the National Gallery in Prague from the middle of September in 2014 to the end of December in 2015.

Rembrandt was a Dutch painter who was born in 1606 and died in 1669. Rembrandt is generally considered as one of the greatest artists of all time and he was one of the most important figures of the European art and the Dutch art as well. The exhibition ‘Return of the Rembrandt’ presents the finest works of the artist along side with he works of four other artists reflecting on the paintings of Rembrandt. As the old art is always an inspiration for the painters of the new generations this exhibition allows the visitors to see the connection between new and old.

The main goal of this exhibition is to show the importance of art and the influence it still has on the fresh painters and on the new generations. The exhibition ‘Return of Rembrandt’ is already on and it is shown at the National Gallery Prague until 31st December 2015.

Roxette concert in Prague

RoxetteThe Swedish duo the Roxette is on a world tour since 2014 and in this occasion the band will stop at Prague as well where they will give an unforgettable concert.

Roxette is a Swedish pop rock duo which was formed in the 1980s. The duo consists Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle. Roxette achieved international success in the late 1980s when they came out with the album Look Sharp! which brought them international fame. Their next album the Joyride was almost as powerful as their breakthrough album the Look Sharp!. The band’s most known and famous songs are The Look, Listen to Your Heart, It Must Have Been Love, Joyride, Dangerous, Fading Like a Flower, Dressed for Success and the Centre Of the Heart.

Roxette is on a world tour with The 30th Anniversary Tour since 2014 which will last until 2015. On this occasion the Swedish duo will be on stage two times in the Czech Republic first time in the capital city and the other time in Ostrava. Kiss concert in Prague 2015

Kiss PragueThe world famous rock band the Kiss will give an unforgettable concert in Prague during their world tour in 2015. Kiss is an American rock band which was formed in the 1970s and still one of the most popular bands on the world.

Kiss is best known for the members face paint, their stage outfits and their energetic live performances with various effects such as smoking guitars, shooting rockets, blood spitting and so on. Through the years the band had some line up changes and its current members are Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer. Don Giovanni in Prague

Don Giovanni in PragueThe Don Giovanni will be shown in Prague from the middle of February until June this year. The Don Giovanni is an opera in two acts with music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte.

The opera is based on the legends of Don Juan/Don Giovanni who is a fictional libertine and a seducer whose story is told by several authors. The main characters in the opera is Don Giovanni, Leporello who is the servant of Don Giovanni, II Commendatore, Donna Anna the daughter of II Commendatore who is engaged to Don Ottavio, Don Ottavio, Donna Elvira who is abandoned by Don Giovanni , Masetto who is a peasant and Zerlina who is Masetto’s fiancée. The story of Don Giovanni takes place in the 17th century in Spain about Don Giovanni who tries his chance at any women he meets including Donna Anna, Donna Elvira and Zerlina as well and in the end he gets his price for being libertine and seducing all the woman.

The Don Giovanni opera will be shown several times in the capital city of the Czech Republic in Prague. The first opera will be on Friday 13th February in 2015 at 19.00 at the Theatre of the Estates and the last on August 22nd.

Art works of Rudolf II’s Era

Rudolf II exhibitionThe exhibition ‘The Masters of Rudolf II’s Era’ is shown at the Prague City Museum until the end of March this year. ‘The Masters of Rudolf II’s Era’ exhibition shows a wide range of various art works such as paintings and drawings of the collection of Rudolf II.

The famous art collection of Rudolf II used to be the largest art collection that ever existed but after the death of the emperor most of the collection was replaced to Vienna and some of the paintings were brought to Sweden to please Queen Christina. At the exhibition ‘The Masters of Rudolf II’s Era’ visitors have the chance to discover the most outstanding items of the collection of the emperor. At the exhibition art works of the most famous and influential painters of this era are on display such as Bartholomeus Spranger, Hans von Aachen, Joseph Heintz the Elder, Pieter Stevens, Dirk de Quade van Ravesteyn, Matthias Gundelach and Adriaen de Vries. Apart from these several other images are shown to the visitors which were added by the Prague City Museum.

The exhibition ‘The Masters of Rudolf II’s Era’ takes place from 12th November 2014 to 29th March 2015 at the Prague City Museum.
