It is the best place to get the most delicious cakes in the city for a really good and fair price. It is a perfect place to eat some cake and drink some coffee as a start of the day or during a sightseeing with the family. The Erthartova Cukrarna has a lovely atmosphere with simple retro interior which reminds of the old cafe houses. Erthartova Cukrarna is open from Sunday until Saturday every day from 9 in the morning until 6 in the evening.

The O2 Arena is the biggest and most popular concert venue in all of the Czech Republic. It has space for more than 17,000 spectators, and if you want to know more about the O2 Arena, address, upcoming events and so on, you can read more about O2 Arena here.

If you are coming to Prague for a concert, sports event or some other thing going on in the O2 Arena, and want to live as close as possible to the venue, then this article is for you, because here we will tell you which are the hotels and apartments located within walking distance from the venue.

Best hotel near O2 Arena

If you want to live in the hotel which is the best near the O2 Arena, then you better go for and reserve a room in Hotel Carol, a three star hotel. Because of its located near the O2 Arena, it is quite far away from the city center, but with the metro which is located only some hundred meters away, you can easily get to the city center of Prague from here.

Often as you come to a new town for a concert, you come together with a group of friends or colleagues, and then an apartment can be very useful. If that is you, then there is a some very nice luxury apartments located just next to the O2 Arena in Prague as well. Hotels near CEZ Arena in Ostrava

I am going to CEZ Arena to watch hockey-matches in 2015. I am looking for a hotel very close to the arena. Can you please help me?

Thanks for asking. As you might know the CEZ Arena is the fourth largest hockey venue in Czech Republic. It has a capacity for more than 10,000 spectators, and it was originally built back in 1989. It is the homeground for HC Vitkovice today.

Hotels near CEZ Arena in Ostrava

If you want to live on a hotel near CEZ Arena in Ostrava, then there are a couple of hotels that can be found in less than 1km distance from the venue. The nearest place to accomodate near the venue is Hostel River, but it is worth noticing that this is just a hotel, and the quality and comfort comes thereafter.

The second closest hotel is 600 metres away from the CEZ Arena and the name is Hotel Morrison. This is a three star hotel, for sure not among the best, but if you do not require the best, this might still be more than good enough.

Then comes two more hotels just 100-200 metres further away than Hotel Morrison. These are both better, they have better ratings and more satisfied visitors, and those are Pension Antica and Hotel Victoria.

How to watch the World Cup 2014 in Prague?

If you are coming to Prague in the coming month then you are probably curious to find out how to watch your favorite matches from the World Cup in Brazil while in the Czech Republic. There are several ways, and here you go!

The channel showing the World Cup matches in Czech Republic is CTV. That is an amazing channel, and in fact they have one of the best online coverages from the World Cup in the entire world, meaning that it is very easy for you to tune in to their website and watch all the matches online while in Prague. If you try to watch the matches from outside the Czech Republic on the CTV website it will though not work.

Ceska Televizie will also be available in your hotel room and wherever you go, meaning that you can watch all your favorite matches both in your hotelroom and also in restaurants and bars and pubs all across the Czech Republic. Unfortunately the Czech team will not be present in the World Cup, but some fantastic teams will be there, and probably you look just as much forward to some of the fantastic group stage matches as we do, such as the Spain – Netherlands match on June 13th, the England vs Italy match on June 14th and the Germany – Portugal match on June 16th. When coming to cities in the Eastern Europe one thing that can be enjoyed is five star hotels with really nice and low prices. So, as you come to Prague, why not stay in a nice five star hotel? But, which is the best of all the five star hotels in Prague?

We have written quite a lot of articles on the best five star hotels in cities all around Europe, but it is no secret that Prague is one of the hardest cities to write about. Prague simply has to many stunning hotels with five starts, somewhere between 30-40 hotels. And to make everything even harder, most of these hotels are really amazing, with user reviews at different travel portals with scores between 90-100%. However, we will still try to come with some wisdom on the subject, so that you can spend your nights in what we believe to be the best five star hotel(s) in Prague!

Best five star hotel in Prague!

If you want to live in a somewhat nontraditional five star hotel, in an old and historical building, not far from Prague castle, the Vitus Cathedral and other famous Prague attractions, then you could consider Alchymist Prague Castle Suites. Just take a look at the picture, which tells the story itself. This hotel has free wireless Internet, a beautiful location and an amazing atmosphere.

If you want a more traditional five star hotel with a great location, near the Old Town Square in Prague, then go for Ventana Hotel instead. It has a delicious breakfast awaiting its guests, and if you bring your laptop or tablet, they do have free wireless Internet available. They lack some of the traditional five star hotel services, such as SPA areas and treatments though.

Based on its located Ventana Hotel Prague is the one to be booked. However, if you want luxurious surroudings combined with a SPA center inside the house, and if possible located in cellars dating back to the 11th century, then you will want to book a room in Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa. The hotel has a beautiful look, both on the inside and the outside, and it is located only five minutes walk from the Charles Bridge, the most famous of all attractions in Prague.

How can I watch the Olympics in the Czech Republic?

I recently moved to the Czech Republic, but do not really understand the Czech language yet. I therefore thought watching the Olympics would be a great way of watching sports and listening to the language at the same time? How can I watch the Olympics in the Czech Republic, both on TV and online?

To watch the Winter Olympics arranged in Sochi on TV, you need to make sure that you have Ceska Televizie in your TV subscription. You probably do, because it is the leading channel in the Czech Republic. Online they will have up to 6 channels broadcasting from the Winter Olympics, and on the TV screens they will broadcast to at least 2 or 3 channels. The best is of course to watch in front of a large TV, but if you want to watch the Winter Olympics in Sochi on your computer instead, then you just visit the Ceska Televizie website and watch from there.
