St. Wenceslas Wine Festival
Celebrate St. Wenceslas (Václav), the patron saint of Bohemia and Moravia, at the annual St. Wenceslas Wine Festival in Prague. There are celebrations before, on, and after September 28 all around the Czech Republic, but one of the nicest places to celebrate this day is at Villa Richter in Prague with delicious local wine and a stunning panorama.
St. Wenceslas was a Duke of Bohemia and a ruler known for his piety and efforts to spread Christianity in the region in the 10th century. He became a martyr after being assassinated by his brother. His legacy is celebrated in many ways, for example through events like the Wine Festival arranged at Villa Richter, a fantastic property located close to the castle of Prague.
There are several other festivals arranged at the same property, and you can read more about these and other festivals, markets, and events in our Prague calendar.
