The Lumineers concert

The Lumineers is coming to Europe in 2025 and the opening concert is held in Vienna on April 23. One day later, on April 24, the band has traveled three hours and will end up in Prague where they will have the second concert of the tour. The O2 Arena is the venue for the concert and this is the best place to be on April 24 if you want to enjoy folk-music, fantastic lyrics, and happy people on that given day. A few words about The Lumineers and the history of the band.

While The Lumineers were just forming (around 2005), other important things were happening in 2005. In music, Coldplay released their hit album X&Y, and Green Day’s American Idiot was continuing its success. Technology also took a big step forward, with YouTube being launched in February 2005, changing the way people shared and discovered music and videos online. Around the world, Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, and many people joined efforts to help rebuild the city. All of this took place in the year in which The Lumineers was formed.

For several years, The Lumineers struggled to gain attention. They moved to Denver, Colorado, to find new inspiration and began playing small shows. Their big breakthrough didn’t come until 2012, when they released their first album, The Lumineers. The single “Ho Hey” became a massive hit, quickly spreading across the radio and gaining millions of views online. It was during this time that the world took notice of the band’s unique sound. This was the same year as we all fell in love with the Hunger Games trilogy, and also the year in which Spotify had its breakthrough.

The band had its first tour in Europe in 2013, and has since then enjoyed great popularity among millions of fans on the continent.

Yes, The Lumineers have performed in Prague before. One of the most famous concerts was at Forum Karlín on November 20, 2019, during their “III: The World Tour.” The band also performed in the Lucerna Music Bar in 2016. In other words, this is a band that has taken the steps from the small stages, to the great concert venues.
