This is a perfect chance for you to taste and compare the most popular bubbling wines in the world at the same place and in small amounts. Which is your favorite? Do you go with the original Champagne from France, or are you just as happy to drink a glass of (or a bottle of) Prosecco from Italy?

The Bubble Wine festival is arranged by the magnificent Villa Richter, a fantastic villa from the 19th century. It is open throughout the year and it has a restaurant where you can dine and enjoy food at a high level. But, at least 5-6 times a year, it hosts different festivals and one of the most popular festivals is the Bubble Wine Festival in May.

There is an entrance fee to enter the festival area, but if you are in love with wine and bubbling wine, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

What are the differences between Pinot Grigio, Prosecco, and Primitivo?

Pinot Grigio is a light, crisp white wine that often has flavors of green apple, pear, and citrus. It is refreshing and perfect for warm weather.

Prosecco is a sparkling wine from Italy that is light and bubbly, with flavors of green apple, honeydew melon, and pear. It is often enjoyed as an aperitif or in cocktails like mimosas.

Primitivo is a bold red wine with rich flavors of dark fruit, like blackberry and plum, along with hints of spice and chocolate. It is known for its full body and smooth finish.

St. Martin’s Wine Festival

Are you coming to Prague to get an early glimpse of the Christmas markets? If you are in Prague during the St. Martin’s Wine Festival, then you are probably too early for the Christmas markets. But, don’t be sad, because you still have the chance to taste delicious Czech wines and enjoy a spectacular view if you come to Villa Richter to enjoy the St. Martin’s Wine Festival.

You need to pay a small entrance fee (approximately 150 CZK) to enter the festival area if you come to Villa Richter for this festival. On the inside you can drink wine produced in the Czech Republic and eat delights from the Czech kitchen. There are also concerts and other programs in the festival area, making this a fantastic way to celebrate life in November.

St. Wenceslas Wine Festival

Celebrate St. Wenceslas (Václav), the patron saint of Bohemia and Moravia, at the annual St. Wenceslas Wine Festival in Prague. There are celebrations before, on, and after September 28 all around the Czech Republic, but one of the nicest places to celebrate this day is at Villa Richter in Prague with delicious local wine and a stunning panorama.

St. Wenceslas was a Duke of Bohemia and a ruler known for his piety and efforts to spread Christianity in the region in the 10th century. He became a martyr after being assassinated by his brother. His legacy is celebrated in many ways, for example through events like the Wine Festival arranged at Villa Richter, a fantastic property located close to the castle of Prague.
